Raised in Tucson AZ, songwriter & author Dan Stuart is a founding member of 80s alt-country legends Green on Red, before leaving the music business in 1995. His comeback solo LP in 2012 has the same title as his false memoir: The Deliverance of Marlowe Billings, followed by Marlowe's Revenge, and album/novel The Unfortunate Demise of MB’s. What a find! This set is really spot on. I played these guys on college radio as a DJ, and saw them in Jackson, MS at a dive called W.C. Don's in the early 80s. I thought this recording would just be a great trip down nostalgia road, but it really kicks butt too! Thanks you for releasing this.
